Only true connoisseurs dare the Solaro.
Solaro fabric was the first technical fabric created by man. It is the Italo-British doctor Louis Westenra Sambon, specialist in tropical diseases, who in the early twentieth century around 1907 developed this magic beige / khaki armor on the outside, but with a red protective layer inside for the British soldiers.
According to the legend, the red frame that runs through the fabric is capable of neutralizing UV rays and dissipating heat.
The solaro is historically a British invention, but as today it is associated with Italy, Gianni Agnelli willingly wore it. Beige, with herringbone patterns, its great feature is its red weft reflecting light. By capturing the rays of light, the fabric will restore a multitude of colored reflections that will vary depending on the angle from which it is viewed. Usually you can see shades of beige, green, red, or a combination of all of them. And that is what makes the solaro a very unique fabric.

In a local area steeped in most ancient traditions of wool production, where water flows with a special purity, the Fratelli Tallia di Delfino wool mill was established, giving rise to the celebrated fabric brand dedicated to men's high fashion, and well-respected throughout the world for its extensive experience in fine drapery. Its long history, small dimensions, sourcing of the finest raw materials and application of the best of the 'Made in Biella' tradition have made Tallia di Delfino a true excellence of Italian drapery. The Italian tailoring heritage is intertwined with the refined taste and excellence of the raw materials, creating an unmistakable style.
It is a Half Canvas jacket, completely made in Italy by renowned tailors which produces men’s suits for the world's most prestigious fashion houses. The canvas is applied from the shoulder by the underside of the jacket to the middle of the chest, for this reason, it is called "Half Canvas". This construction provides a fluidity where it is applied either in the upper part of the chest where one needs comfort and flexibility for everyday movements. The jacket will, therefore, have a structure and at the same time an elegant fluidity. The fabric gives the jacket greater durability compared to a fused construction jacket and makes it comfortable and breathable.
The Neapolitan shoulder (Spalla Camicia in Italian) is constructed without padding, giving you a naturel and delicate look without amplifying a persons features and at the same time gives you a more spontaneous elegance
The chest pocket "Barchetta" (small boat) is cut with the upper corner pronounced recalling the shape of a boat and confers harmonious proportions at the level of the chest.

We created for this suit, a tailored trousers with single pleats, a high waist, a large extended tab fastening belt and the side adjusters. You will find the quality of the details in the Side pockets with AMF stitching, the V-shaped slit in the back waistband, the Welt back pocket and the small change pocket. We have left extra fabric inside at the seams, so as to allow for simple alterations if needed. This allows for the waist, hips and legs be let out. The cuff is left long on purpose so as to allow it to be short, long or with turn-ups so giving that touch of individuality.
